3 Hail Mary's!

Wow! It's been over a year since my last confession. No wonder my world is starting to spin out of my control.  A lot has happened over the past year. I have done some traveling, finished a graduate certificate,  learned to run :) Fun, fun, fun! My kids are growing like weeds, and each day they teach me a little bit more about patience and virtues. My heart has been broken ten times over this year and I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Now all I have to hope for is that I beat that freight train I know is coming!

Me n the boys :)
So where do I start? My last post was in Feburary after a great trip to Vegas... so I suppose the next adventure came with my jaunt across Canada with my pa, and the boys. What a great trip that was! We flew to Vancouver and then met my dad in Aldergrove at my sisters. Off we went with nothing but adventure on our minds :) My dad just got out of the hospital and had lost 30lbs. so my boys were in heaven knowing if they asked for the ice cream he was going to get it for him.

We stopped in a lot of different places along the way. My dad is somewhat of a race car traveler. Wants to get from point A to B in the quickest time possible... or is just his way of finding an excuse to pull over to one of the many Casinos we went to because we were a head of schedule! haha!

The boys loved the adventure to Brandon Manitoba via the old man's RV. I loved the time I got to spend with my father :)

Once we arrived in Brandon we were pleased to hear the fair was in town! The boys had NEVER in their life been to one. HOW FUN WAS THAT!!! I have a hundred pictures, but little patience to post. Of course the best memory of that day was their first ride. Little did I know that there was a big kid and little side to the fair. So I put the boys on a ride similar to the Octopus. Off they went slowly picking up speed... The boys were cheering and woo hooing and the ride began to get faster and faster, and faster. My son's eyes quickly moved from the look of excitement to the look of fear... At first I burst out in laughter, because that is what a mother does, and before you knew it I was yelling at the ride operator to let him off the ride. Tears in my eyes and fear in my heart. When he got off he said "why did you put me on that ride!!!" oops! Off to the kiddy side we went :)

We spent four days in Brandon and two nights in Winnipeg with my sister and her daughter. It was a LOT of fun! and at the same time so very sad... Losing our nephew, her son, eight months before was still weighing heavy in her heart. I'm not sure any mother can get over that. I love my family. I am grateful for that visit and every visit before and after that. We eventually made our way back to Vancouver and spent a few days at Playland.  Lets just say that by the end of the trip my boys had no fear and would take on ANY ride! A childhood memory I don't think they will ever forget!

My favorite moment... the little donuts! Who knew! Yeah, I know... you did!

The rest of the year was quite a blur... Not sure what I can share about that and somewhat ran out of time here... I'm sure I'll think of something. OH yes one more thing before I go... School. In August I completed my Graduate Certificate in Project Management. Yaay!! I started my first big project in the same month and just completed it at the end of April. Old Massett now has a new Teen centre :)
